I-mate just announced a Debugger tool for Windows SideShow gadget aimed to help developers and enthusiasts who want to test their gadgets and to learn how interact with Windows SideShow compatible devices. For those interested in implementing and SCF rendering engine you may use this litle tool in conjunction with Microsoft-provided Simulator in the Windows SDK.

The package includes a Windows Vista application to emulate a Windows SideShow device and a device driver for their Momento Digital Picture Frame.

According to their post "This debugger also serves as a sneak preview of the functionality to be available in upcoming i-mate Mobile Devices and the anticipated Momento Digital Photo Frame Version 2. Therefore, any gadgets that are compatible with the debugger are sure to work on future i-mate devices."
