LG's XNOTE R200 with Windows SideShow hit KOREAN MARKET

Here it comes, the LG XNOTE R200 is the second laptop with vista sideshow capabilities out on the market. Based on the LG Z1 prototype notebook with in-lid secondary display presented at the CES 2007 the LG Electronics has released first Windows Vista sideshow dual-LCD notebook. The R200 model has a 2.5-inch color LCD display and touch sensor button on the outside of the laptop. The external LCD is a Windows Vista SideShow enabled LCD to quick access the key information you need such as access e-mails or notes, photos, play music, run “mini-games” and other gadgets that reside on Vista's desktop without having to boot the notebook. This SideShow enabled display is located right on the cover and beside it are the navigation controls for your easy access.
The XNOTE R200 notebook comes equipped with a 12.1-inch LCD, 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB of memory, 802.11a/g/draft-n, and 160GB ohard disk. To provide clear view of graphics this laptop runs using ATI HD 2400 graphics.
The SideShow enabled screen operates when Vista is shut down to save battery life being able to playback MP3 up to 100 hours.
At the present time the LG XNOTE R200 Vista Sideshow laptop from LG is exclusive in Korea and is selling at ₩2,240,00. No word on the availability so far in Stateside but will probably be priced at about $2,440, so start saving your many. |
