One of the best designed Microsoft Vista Sideshow enabled devices so far seems to be the MSI MegaPlayer 529 MP3 player. Apparently, the design was so good, Dell wanted to brand it under their name, but apparently backed out. The hardware device might be manufactured by MSI, but it runs NVIDIA's preface platform (formerly known as www.portalplayer.com). These wonderful devices can act as a MP3 player as well as an fully compliant Vista SideShow device.

The device is very slim and the interface looks very clean. It sports a Bluetooth connection as the wireless SideShow communication protocol. The menu navigation and renedering seems to very fast, thanks to a dual core ARM-7 processor. Screen resolution is 320x240 / QVGA Color.

This picture shows the back if the device, which is incredibly slim. Despite the small size the device is very sturdy.

Regardless on who will finally sell this device, this sideshow enabled device has an excellent design, it is very well build and performs like a champion.
