Posted by admin on 04-06-2007 in

Often times, applications require visual feedback such as of short messages, system stats, found in headless systems as well as secondary displays for regular PCs. Featuring Windows XP and Linux support as well as Vista Sideshow support, the picoLCD Intelligent 2x20 USB LCD display is intended for innovative OEM applications for a broad range of applications.

This tiny and inexpensive LCD ($39/unit or $29 in larger qty) has native USB interface (no clunky serial->USB conversion), requires no drivers – any operating system will recognize this unit as a generic HID device. For Vista Sideshow operation a user space SideShow driver installtion is required (read below for more details). For Vista Sideshow, all data is rendered in the SideShow driver that communicates via a generic full speed USB HID extension.

The picoLCD Intelligent 2x20 SideShow compatible USB LCD features:

- 20x2 character USB LCD Display
- True full-speed USB HID device
- USB full-speed 2.0 support
- 10 custom splash screens, custom timing / looping
