The device is using WinBind Sideshow-compatible MCU solution and works like a modern-day sticky notes with Windows SideShow capability.

The "electronic notepad" device has a 3.5” QVGA LCD screen that can be used to display messages and a back-mounted magnet to be easily attached on the fridge or to other metallic surfaces as well.

The Ricavision say this is possible, MK140 FM Fridge Magnet/Scribbler has stylus capability, enabling users to create notes onto the LCD Display to be delivered later to Vista-Based PC for processing or to be stored on the device and then to access them on the M140 scribble or on the Vista Computer.

The MK140 FM Fridge Magnet/Scribbler is a portable enhanced Windows SideShow device with wireless communications capabilities. The device is powered by an internal battery, with a 16-hour minimum lifetime in normal use, and an external AC adapter and charging docking station.

“We continue to be impressed by Ricavision’s capabilities.” “Our new electronic scribbler device is another step in our vision for the future, integrating the most convenient wireless communication capabilities into our customers’ everyday lives,” said Max Li, CEO. “By coordinating with Microsoft, we feel confident that the MK140 FM Fridge Magnet will provide users of Windows Vista with enhanced functionality and significant value.”
